I answer all questions from those who contact me.

When I was first looking for help with my alcoholic addict, there was no Internet (yes I am that old). So finding information was a challenge. The only people I could ask were counselors or psychologists (expensive) and I had yet to learn about self-help groups such as Al-Anon.

I struggled for a long time trying to find useful information. If this site and my answers to your questions will help you to short cut some of the struggle I went through, I am happy.

If this is an emergency, you probably need to look for a local source of help right away. If someone is a danger to themselves or to someone else, please call your local police department.

If someone is having bad physical or psychological reaction to alcohol or drugs, call the police, the fire department or an ambulance right away.

For other situations where you need help right away, one of the organizations listed here may be able to help.
