The following hot lines and links should help you connect with organizations that have programs for assisting with drug and alcohol abuse. Please let me know if you find that any of the information is incorrect and I will do my best to update it.

  • Adult Children of Alcoholics – A self help group of women and men who grew up in alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes. 310-534-1815
  • Al-Anon / Alateen – A group which helps families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. 888-425-2666
  • Alcoholics Anonymous – A fellowship of men and women who work together to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. 212-870-3400
  • Co-Anon – A fellowship of men and women who are husbands, wives, parents, relatives or close friends of someone who is addicted to cocaine. 800-898-9985
  • Co-Dependents Anonymous – A fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to learn how to develop healthy relationships. 602-277-7991
  • Crystal Meth Anonymous – A fellowship of men and women who work together to solve their common problem and help others to recover from addiction to crystal meth. 213-488-4455
  • Families Anonymous – A group of concerned relatives and friends whose lives have been adversely affected by a loved one's addiction to alcohol or drugs. 800-736-9805
  • Marijuana Anonymous – A fellowship of men and women who work together to solve their common problem and help others to recover from marijuana addiction. 800-766-6779
  • National Association for Children of Alcoholics – A non-profit membership and affiliate organization working on behalf of children of alcohol and drug dependent parents. 301-468-0985
  • National Domestic Violence Hotline – A nonprofit organization that provides crisis intervention, information and referral to victims of domestic violence, perpetrators, friends and families. 1-800-799-7233
  • National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) – A great source of scientific information about alcohol abuse and alcoholism. 301-443-3860
